Sue joined AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah in 2014 and brings more than 30 years of HR leadership experience. In 2018, Sue was recognized as one of the National Diversity Council's Most Powerful and Influential Women of California.
At AAA, Sue is responsible for the entire human resources organization. She forges strong cross-functional teams and delivers human resources-related strategies that strengthen Team Member engagement.
Sue designs and executes programs that help develop leaders; ensures compensation and benefits are competitive; attracts and retains top talent; and creates a world-class work environment for more than 4,000 diverse Team Members. Sue also directs the club’s social responsibility program designed to have a long-lasting impact in the communities where the club serves.
Before joining AAA, Sue was Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Dole Food Company, where she led human resource functions for 82,000 employees. In 2011, Sue was awarded HR Executive of the Year by a Southern California affiliate of the National Human Resources Association.
Sue earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Redlands and a MBA from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. She has taught Human Resources courses at UCLA and served as a Director for the American Red Cross.
